Leadville 100 bicycle race

I'm always curious what dominant athletes do once their careers are over. I'm a cycling fan, and while I have ambivalent feelings about Lance Armstrong, its undeniable that he is compelling to watch. Armstrong rode to a second place finish yesterday in the Leadville 100. A mountain bike race starting at Leadville with 1,000 riders making the 50-mile out-and-back trek. In one of the country's toughest single-day races, it starts at 10,500 feet and climbs to more than 14,000 feet. Gruesome and beautiful. Here's the news with video.

I think that dominant athletes play golf when they end their career.

Many, if lucky, find success somewhere else.
